Current use: Library and home to the James J. Hill Papers open to
the public.
St. Paul: James J. Hill House
Location: 240 Summit Avenue
St. Paul, MN

Current use: Museum
Remarks: The James J. Hill House can be visited; guided tours
are being offered by the Minnesota Historical Society.

St. Paul: Railroad and Bank Building
Location: 176 East 5th Street
St. Paul, MN

Built: 1916
Current use: First Trust Center
Remarks: Building was built to house the Great Northern and
Northern Pacific and the First National Bank. This is
actually the second GN office building in St. Paul.
For the first, built in 1887 and located at 281 E. Kellogg
Blvd, plans are being developed to convert it into an
apartment and office building.
